For what it's worth, I estimate that one or both of the two universities with 
which I'm involved will find good 
use for SMB/CIFS ...

... that is, assuming that what _may_ be offered by MacFusion _will_ be 
superior to what's offered by default in 
Mac OS X 10.4.x.

I really want that plugin. Mounting samba drive and sftp drives the same way 
would be
