3 years ago I second the above. I spent the evening trying to figure out if there's any workaround which would allow us to apply a "muffled speech" effect with full masks, but no luck on my end. I would really love this to be configurable for mod developers as well. I was hoping I can possibly trick the plugin into thinking I'm underwater but that's not only out of question and obviously a bit too strong :D

With the addition of CBRN gear in the contact DLC . it became Very apparent of a missed opportunity if its even possible. adding some kind of filter to voice when wearing Full face mask . one of the guys in my group used a voice changer and it made a huge difference to immersion . attached Example https://vocaroo.com/i/s1aLsbgVJEsD this could even be used or expand on for underwater vehicles or sealed environment.
