SATCOM feature for LR radios #460

Could be great if the avalaible radios have satellite mode available for use for long range radios.

some example is you need to have a SATCOM antenna that you must deploy from your inventory and link up with your LR radio.

Also simulating the satellite window could be great defining it by a module using hours or all time or negate it.

also comms vehicle could support this by default just switching modes of operation.

As I am planning to implement relay Antennas. It would also be nice to have a Comm's vehicle. Like a driveable relay Antenna. Could add Satcom as communication between such vehicles.. Or even between relay Antennas. But i don't think on-man satcom is a good idea. Would just allow people to circumvent the radio distance limit to easilly.

Just a quick heads up regarding this topic. I did the RF-3080 which must be placed and boosts your TX/RX in a certain radius around the object.
