doughnut for BP shows indpependent contribs, but no indpendent candidate linked to on graph #45

Looking at BP in CA Senate. When I look through the various years, I never see a tie to and indepdent candidate, yet a slice for independent shows up on the dougnut. Is it from a earlier year we don't have a graph for? Or is the company doughnut aggregating across multiple states?

The charts are across all years

So currently

This seems like it might be kind of confusing. Maybe each thing should show a caption or tool tip when clicked on?

No - the total is the total for the graph node everything else is current company across all years/states/chambers

So currently

  • The total at the top is for the current company in the current cycle/chamber/sate
  • The timeline is for the company in current chamber/state across all years (including ones without graphs)
  • Ditto the doughnut?
  • The CSV is for current company across all years, states, and chambers

I'm closing this as 'wontfix'. If you think we should change the spec, can you file a new issue or retitle this one? (will probably get pushed to later milestone)
