"Housewife" category? #71

I understand what it's showing (the wife of a DEM person is contributing) but I think we should find another way of representing this that makes it more clear what's going on and also avoids a potentially borderline politically incorrect (?) term... see example in attached image from Alaska Senate data. dirty energy money - states

I'm hoping that's someone self-reporting their "employer." Right?

I think that's likely the case, but I still think it is both confusing and possibly problematic. Looking at the image above -- what is a "Housewife OIL"? I don't think that would be clear to anyone using the tool....

I've changed the database to kick out contribs with a company name of 'housewife' - it's not useful unless we know the company associated with the person. There's only $2100 across the whole db that we will lose. This should take effect the next time we refresh the data. As far as it being problematic, I agree, but it is what someone filled in on their donation form. So at least they self-identify as a 'housewife'.
