Unable to add account in Windows 11 #37

Hi, I recently switched to Windows 11, whenever I try to add an account the spinning loading icon appears, then after a minute it stops but never prompts me to enter anything. Is there a solution for this?

Hi, sorry, but I'm having the same exact problem. I installed the app, added my MS account without any problems. But then I was testing something with calendars on outlook.com, so I removed the account from the Calendar Flyout, and now I cannot add my account again, no matter what I do. I tried resetting the app via Win 11 settings panel, reinstalling the app completely, revoking the app permissions on my MS account via https://microsoft.com/consent -- nothing works. The spinning loader animation pops up for a sec on the "Add account" button in the app, and nothing.

What were you testing with your calendars? Your description doesn't mean much without any details about what you did ;)

If you can select 'Personal account' but then you can't see the small window with the list of accounts, it seems to be a problem with your PC. Maybe you should restart your PC or check if any new updates have been installed.

Let me know if you're connected to a VPN.

Hi, I was just trying to import my Google calendar to my MS account (which worked fine).

And yes, I did see the window where I select either the MS account I'm logged into, or login to a new account. Tried both ways (but using the same MS account). The process went fine, my credentials were approved, the window closed -- and nothing. The loader icon spinned for a sec -- and no account was added.

And no, I'm not using a VPN.

I have the exact same problem. First login worked fine. Then I logged out and tried to login again, but when I press next in the popup window it disappears and nothing happens. Reset and reinstall of the app does not help.

@tmpeh do you have linked Google calendar to your Outlook account as well?

tmpeh commented 2 weeks ago

Yes, I actually have multiple calendars linked. I added some in between the login attempts.
