Amiga HardDisk LED driver, act led on rpi does not flicker on booting amiga os #216

Bought myself a Amiga HardDisk LED driver board :)

When the pistorm32 first turns on, the act (green) led on the rpi flickers. Afterwards during kickstart boot and loading of os or anything hd related in os, the act led never flickers on the rpi (and thus not through the Amiga HardDisk LED driver).

Is this a driver issue?

What raspberrry pi are you using? The issue is strange because it is working for everyone else. Therefore two questions:

  1. What HD LED board did you bought
  2. How have you connected it to the raspberry

A photo of your setup or small wiring diagram would be helpful. Finally, version of Emu68 which you are using would be interesting too.

I'm probably doing something wrong on my end then. Using a rpi3b. Bought this one https://sordan.ie/product/1234/amiga-hard-disk-drive-activity-led-driver-fix-ide-25-adapter/ . Connected it to PP13 as in the pdf explained. Using Emu68-pistorm32lite-20230427-678796. Pi act led flickers, kickstart loads (3.2.2) , reboots and the act led never flickers again on the rpi (and obviously not on the hddled). Am not at home now, but if needed can make a picture/video of it booting.

Ok, confirmed.

You are using Pi3B (not 3B+) which has the activity led connected to external GPIO. This setup is not yet supported by SDHC driver and because of that you see no disk activity. Neither on RasPi LED nor on your HD Led.
