BTStack GPS with Ipad2 #183

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

Hi,

I've just bought BTStack GPS and install int on a iPad 2 16 wifi with iOS 4.3.3
to connect an i-gotU GT200e GPS.
When I connct it, BTstack GPS quit, return to spring board and the icon shows
"on", but there is no connection with the GPS.

I have also tried an iPhone4 4.2.1 and an iPod touch, and there is no problem
with the i-gotU...

Thanks for help

Sven

You say you get back to SpringBoard after you selected the GPS and got the
"connecting spinner" for a bit, but before you saw some info on top and a map
view?

I just tried on my iPad 2 GSM with 4.3.3 and it works as usual. Can you double
check, if you have the same versions of the "BTstack" package on your devices?

Hi,

when I connect the i-gotU, it goes automaticly back to the SpringBoard, about
6s after choosing the device and without the screen with the map

that would be a "crash". can you install CrashReporter, start it and see if it
has any useful crash logs (and attach it here)?

The GPS is fine (aside from the weird .rtf format). Hm. It crashes deep inside
the UI framework. Does Google Maps work? Do you have other map/gps/location
related packages installed?

No, it crashes too. I notice that since I JB the iPad last week !

I plead "not guilty" then. I would suggest to restore using TinyUmbrella to
4.3.3 and JB again. Then check if Google Maps works. If it works, try BTstack
GPS again. - as I said my iPad 2 with jailbreakme.com works fine.

JB !

No good idea here. Did Google Maps work after the restore?

Even without JB? If yes, something's really broken. :(
