Pluggin in Wii Classic Controller into the Wii Remote expansion port breaks app #45

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start snes4iPhone
2. Connect Wiimote (works great up to this point)
3. Plug in Wii Classic Controller into the Wii Remote expansion port.

Note: Connecting a Wii Remote with Wii Classic Controller already plugged in
also causes same problem.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The Wii Classic Controller should function as an extension to the Wiimote.
Instead the Wiimote becomes completely unusable and app hangs.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
BTstack Mouse v1.0-24869
Running on an iPad OS3.1
snes4iphone 7.0.0

Please provide any additional information below.
hci_dump.pklg is attached to this bug

Note: I've also reported this to the author of snes4iphone, no response yet.

hi! Can you try plugging the Wii Classic Controller while running my WiiMote
OpenGL ES Demo and see if that crashes, too?

zodTTD used the code from this demo for his emulators. If the demo crashes,
too, I'll fix it. Otherwise, you have to reach zodTDD as I cannot do anything
about it.

Hello, tried WiiMote OpenGL ES Demo and pluggin in the Classic Controller while
the app is running hangs this demo as well.

I want to correct my previous description of the bug: plugging in the Classic
Controller before the app is started doesn't crash it, and in fact, the Wii
Remote will still work as long as the Classic Controller is plugged in before
the app is started. However, the Classic Controller does not respond to the app
(are the buttons not mapped?).

Thanks for looking into this!

Has there been a solution to this? I would like to use the classic remote as
well.

not a problem of BTstack itself.
