Support for PS3 Dualshock control #83

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
The Wiimote is okay for a lot of games, but for SNES, PSX and many MAME games,
the PS3 dualshock is a much better controller.

Early on you and Zod indicated that you'd like to see PS3 controller support in
the stack--so I'm just adding it to the list :)

It would be awesome if you can use the ps3 controller on the iPad... I wonder
if it's even possible. But in bluetrol you guys said that you would work on it
:)

This would be great. I really want to use this for modern combat and my apple
tv over airplay.

I can tell you that if you do accomplish this, it will be very popular. And
also, will this app support both ps3 and the Wii controller?

Hi. BTstack (the Bluetooth stack) has always been able to talk to a PS3
DualShock. The annoying part is that the controller needs to be configured on a
Mac/PC to connect to your iOS device.

Our Blutrol package to play most game with a large number of different
controllers supports the WiiMote since a long time:
http://ringwald.ch/cydia/blutrol

But here's the news flash.. we added support for the PS3 Controller recently
and hope to release the update next week. If we won't make that, it will happen
during March!

cheers

I have already downloaded Blutrol, but i can't make it work, i have everything
configured and ready, but it never works. Actually i just want to have hardware
button support on the ps3, for the emulators. That would be really awesome.

See ya and congratulations by the way.

Hi. A common problem is that Blutrol requires to know the device orientation.
Please put your device upright in landscape or portrait. After you can play,
you may put it flat on the table.
