Rotating map in Everytrail? #98

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

The app works perfectly with BTStack GPS except for the fact that the map
cannot rotate when your direction is changed.

I use both HOLUX M1000 and Keychin GPS.

If you look at this image below in the link there is a button in the bottom
left with a N on it. I cannot see this while I am using the app. Is there any
way that this feature can be used with a gps Bluetooth?

Thank you for a great app.

hi. can you please explain a bit more what you expect there and what does not
work. I have no influence on other navigation apps. Most Bluetooth GPS devices
don't have a compass, if that's what you're missing. Navigation apps like tom
tom either calculate the direction based on the track or use the course
calculated by BTstack GPS while moving.

I understand that you can not change other app i was just wondering if it was
possible. I guess it is not possible without a digital compass..

right. I also think that rotating the external GPS to the right and seeing the
map on the iPhone rotate to the left, but rotating the iPhone without changes
won't give you the same intuitive feeling of the build-in compass.
