The EC's JRC taxonomy paper is relatively clear on this behaviour (section 4, p38, reference)
The implementation is a bit patchy in this respect; I chose to use the simplest approach where projects can either tag themselves using the main block tag, or some (but not all) of the sb-tags. The same goes for the selection of filters applied in the radar.
The effect you describe of no project showing is simply down to no project having been tagged with the main blocks, only sub-tags.
Ok, I understand. We could clarify this behaviuor on the text that TRUST IT is preparing, that when you select one of the main blocks you are not selecting all the tags in that block, but projects that have been tagged with the "main block tag".
Reopening and label as documentation
When filtering by JRC, if you click on the checkbox of the main blocks (Cybersecurity domains, Sectors or Technology & Use Cases), then the Radar is empty, it doesn't show any project. It should be better not include a checkbox for these blocks or in case you include it, the behaviour should be different (and show all the projects within that block).
