request to not remove /proc/acpi/acer/ #39

Hi,

this is not really a defect but a feature request. 

Please don't remove the deprecated interface on /proc/acpi/acer/ until
major distros like RHEL5 and Debian 4 get obsoleted.

It would be very nice if leds can be controlled through the old interface
for older kernels.

I have no intention of removing the /proc interface, since acer_acpi is 
deprecated 
in favour of the in kernel acer-wmi as of kernel release 2.6.25 - acer_acpi is 
now 
in bugfix only mode.
