A dock for the Gnome Shell. This extension moves the dash out of the overview transforming it in a dock for an easier launching of applications and a faster switching between windows and desktops.

Minimize apps to its new icon #201

Hello!

I've seen that currently there is an option to cycle through windows on an application icon. I think it would be great if there is an option for apps to minimize to its own icon/thumbnail on the dock's right side, similar on how apps minimize on the OSX's dock.

Thanks!

Not really a fan of this feature. Moreover minimization is a bit a second class citizen in GNOME Shell. I think this will be considered together with the implementation of other widgets (see for instance #163). But there's still not a plan for it at the moment.

No problem. I just thought that having separate icons for each instance of the app minimized would be easier to find than having them stacked as a list on the app icon.

I haven't work on this and, although I'm open to consider to contributions, I haven't plan to work on it in the foreseeable future.
