A dock for the Gnome Shell. This extension moves the dash out of the overview transforming it in a dock for an easier launching of applications and a faster switching between windows and desktops.
In macOS, there's an option 'Minimize window into application icon'. When set, it behaves like dash to dock. When not set, minimized apps shrink to a new icon on the dock (in a separate area where recent apps are), with the icon being a screenshot of the window. This makes it easy to switch to minimized windows of the same application (I have several minimized chrome windows usually).
