Thanks for your suggestion. Would you mind providing more details on the motivation and possible implementations (mockups, example of implementations in other dock/OS) of this idea? Somehow the show apps icon is already a consistent and logical way to provide access to additional applications.
Hi, I would like to adda +1 to this. This feature is useful to group types of applications on folders, much like the "Drawers" did in Gnome 2. I'm attaching a raw mockup of the intended functionality, in this example the user has a folder with his favorite games for quick access instead of having to look for them in the Applications. I used it a to have "Design", "Programming", "Games", etc. folders. I hope this is a feasible feature. Thank you and kind regards, Lucas
Could be a good idea. I have many apps in my dock and group some within folders could be great (dev tools,...). I can view all the apps on a monitor but not on my laptop screen.
really need this...
Hi, this would be a very helpfull feature beacuse it would permits to organize icons in the dock allowing us to launch applications without the need to open full screen apps list. The same behaviour is already present in Plank (Elementary OS) and in Dock of MacOS. Thanks for your great work.
My #1 want in dash to dock.
This would be awesome
+1, This would be very handy to organize the apps!
I tend to use quite a lot of favorites on the dock and would love to see this enhancement. Thank you for continuing to provide what I consider to be an essential part of the GNOME desktop experience. I greatly appreciate it!
This should be THE top feature needed for the dash-to-dock IMHO. +1 from me
we still need this!
Is it possible to have AppFolders on the dock, or a similar custom implementation?
