Translating to Kotlin #63

Would you be interested in having the app translated into Kotlin? When using it for the Geni.com client, I will highly likely translate the code into Kotlin. Should I create pull requests?

Little by little I'm translating the code into Kotlin. @Sternbach-Software Thank you for your proposal, but I see this like a delicate task that I prefer to accomplish myself.

OK, so Family Gem and GeniForAndroid definitely diverged. Meanwhile I'm going on with the translation into Kotlin little by little.

I am almost done rewriting the family tree component. Once that is done, I will start from scratch, so the app will share no history or code with Family Gem.

Instead of listing to experienced developers (where you can learn a lot) doing in little steps by yourself, only slow down transformation and generates clones and force fragmentation.
