Irrelevant command names #67

Open neogeogre opened 6 years ago

The names of the commands to use do not reflect their behaviors. Even worse; it's using a completely different terminology field (alcohol in this case).

Are you serious when you ask to the user to memorize all the commands implications ?

It's a shame for a big open source tool like this coming from a state institution. Do you imagine NASA WorldWind with such an infantile joke ?

Name of the commands are acronyms briefly explained within the help and (almost) fully detailed in the 481 pages of documentation in PDF.

I'm using MicMac for a while, it's a bit disturbing at the beginning I admit but at the end way more easy to memorize mnemotechnically.

Sense of humour or infantile joke, depends of the point of view. And, all the commands are not using alcohol terminology, food is represented as well ;)
