Cryptococcus NTR: Cell proliferation at host physiological temperature phenotype #108

Open Achchuthan opened 8 years ago

Achchuthan commented 8 years ago

NTR 1) growth at host temperature phenotype 2) presence of growth at host temperature (is_a growth at host temperature phenotype) 3) absence of growth at host temperature (is_a growth at host temperature phenotype) 4) altered growth at host temperature (is_a growth at host temperature phenotype) 5) increased growth at host temperature (is_a altered growth at host temperature) 6) decreased growth at host temperature (is_a altered growth at host temperature) 7) faster growth rate at host temperature (is_a altered growth at host temperature) 8) slower growth rate at host temperature (is_a altered growth at host temperature)

Host temperature must be specified as 37 degrees C. I found reference to growth in avian macrophages and pigeons are asymptomatic carriers of Cryptococcus and have a body temp of 42 degrees C. So the mouse temp must be specified.

Can it also be noted that this is a cell proliferation phenotype?

Thanks, Diane

Is it fair to call it as "Cell proliferation at host physiological temperature phenotype" and add host extensions for parasite species/ host species? For example, "Cell proliferation of Cryptococcus neoformans in mammalian hosts at 37 C" and "Cell proliferation of Cryptococcus neoformans in avian hosts at 42 C" as synonyms?

NTR 1) Cell proliferation at host physiological temperature phenotype is_a: Cell proliferation phenotype (Issue #109 created for this parent terms) synonym: " Cell proliferation of Cryptococcus neoformans in mammalian hosts at 37 C " synonym: " Cell proliferation of Cryptococcus neoformans in avian hosts at 42 C " 2) presence of cell proliferation at host physiological temperature (is_a cell proliferation at host physiological temperature phenotype) 3) absence of cell proliferation at host physiological temperature (is_a cell proliferation at host physiological temperature phenotype) 4) altered cell proliferation at host physiological temperature (is_a cell proliferation at host physiological temperature phenotype) 5) increased cell proliferation at host physiological temperature (is_a altered cell proliferation at host physiological temperature) 6) decreased cell proliferation at host physiological temperature (is_a altered cell proliferation at host physiological temperature) 7) increased rate of cell proliferation at host physiological temperature (is_a altered cell proliferation at host physiological temperature) 8) decreased rate of cell proliferation at host physiological temperature (is_a altered cell proliferation at host physiological temperature)

While 'cell proliferation at host temperature" is technically accurate, this phenotype is most commonly tested by "growth," "increased growth" and "decreased growth" and not necessarily quantitated for relative proliferation.

Can the following terms be created? presence of growth at host physiological temperature absence of growth at host physiological temperature altered growth at host physiological temperature increased growth at host physiological temperature decreased growth at host physiological temperature abolished growth at host physiological temperature
