2012-06-19 Jonathan Herrera: A child term for increase/decrease antibiotic resistance needs to be made for rifamycins. Rifamycins include rifamycin, rifampicin, and rifampin Rifamycins mode of action is inhibition of transcription, so resistance to ryfamycin is increased/decreased resistance to inhibition of transcription. So under increased and decreased antibiotic resistance child terms should be resistance to inhibitory transcription phenotype and a child term under that be rifamycin resistance.

According to wikipedia also included in rifamycins are the rifamycin derivatives rifampicin (or rifampin), rifabutin, rifapentine and rifalazil. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rifamycin

2015-03-16 Debby Segele: DAS made terms for rifamycin resistance phenotype. See OMP:0007215-OMP:0007221.
