@pkalita-lbl another one where the 'validate' button doesn't seem to be doing anything?

The status of that submission is "submitted - pending review". When you click the "Validate" button, it is in fact doing the validation. However, the orange exclamation icon in the tab is not disappearing because of some faulty logic where it will only go away when the submission status is "in progress" and the tab has been successfully validated. That first part of the condition isn't being met in this case.

I thought this was actually a known issue, but I'm having trouble finding a specific issue about it now.

Host associated, submitted, some of the metadata isn't formatted right (geo_loc_name) No information about what the host is. Also not sure if this is a sample type of interest for NMDC. Need to review with leadership for guidance on next steps
