I am creating this ticket to represent the task @jkelliher-github, @shreddd, and I have discussed outside of GitHub (e.g. on Slack).

This doesn't appear to be active. Can I move this to the next sprint or backlog @eecavanna ?

Next sprint, please. I'm going to start on it tomorrow if I have time. I won't finish it tomorrow, but I do plan to finish it before the retreat.

I'll move this to the next sprint. I made progress on it this sprint (see new repo: https://github.com/microbiomedata/nmdc-orcid-creditor/), but it is not done.
