We intend to deprecate the username/password login auth flow for the runtime API.
Existing users who use this auth flow may have multiple user accounts (ORCiD and username/password) with different permissions.
There are currently a limited number of users who use username/password for auth. Their user docs can be merged with docs associated with their ORCiDs via a one time manual merge. This can be done prior to deprecating the username/password auth flow.
