Country name links not working

On the NMDC Data Portal, it seems both links suggesting where to find country or sea names point to sites that no longer exist. The text in the pop-up window is:

"Country or sea names should be chosen from the INSDC country list (http://insdc.org/country.html), or the GAZ ontology (http://purl.bioontology.org/ontology/GAZ)."

However, when I click those links, I'm taken to 404 sites.

Sub issues:

• do these resources still exist at some other resource?
• do we agree with MIxS(?) that these are the authoritative sources of country and sea names?
• is there any potential for automation here?
• any potential for validation?

Lynn Schriml has suggested using https://github.com/EnvironmentOntology/gaz/blob/master/src/ontology/gaz_countries.owl

Waiting for that to be specified in MIxS
