Improve UX of timeline chart

We can emphasize the relationship between interaction and histogram by some method:

• We could add an "overview" static bar chart with reduced height right above the slider (or incorporated into it):

• We could forego zoom and just do direct drag-select on the chart:

• We could add a zoom indicator by connecting the selected slider range to the full zoomed chart range (something like a trapezoid)
