@mslarae13 I think the issue was related to needing to double click to open the info box? It wasn't super intuitive to the users that double clicking opened that info box.

Thanks @ljohnson09 yes, but now we have the pop up on the right side. I think it's too much information to make all of the info appear in a tool tip.

I can't remember if that info box on the right was there when we did this user research or not?

Both items were present for this round but the column help was more accessible because it auto-shows on the right versus the double clicking for the in-sheet popup. We had a few users who did not use/seem to see the column help until directed towards it so I'm wondering if we were trying to make the help guidance more obvious for people with this GH issue? But with the column help box reformatting, it does seem redundant. In my mind, the original column help was for more in-depth description then the little pop up was a quick ref, but now they have the same information! @mslarae13

If the main goal is just getting the formatting examples to the user as fast/easy as possible so they know the correct way to fill out the cells, I'm not sure if hover over with further instructions is just an extra step that could be streamlined better? Would it be potentially easier to just rearrange the column help bar to be on the left side instead of the right side? Because the column you're working on is probably going to be closer to the left side based on the scrolling/left sample name column is frozen so potentially more visible to the users.
