There are a few issues with using Micro.blog on the iPad that I run into everyday:
Multiple windows.
At this point this is a fairly basic feature for an app as advanced as Micro.blog (especially since 2.0 was released).
Custom text editor.
There are fewer escape hatches on the iPad when compared with a computer so the custom handling of text can make it even easier to run into walls with Micro.blog.
Keyboard shortcuts.
Basic posting, navigating… it fits awkwardly if at all on the iPad and combines with the above point to make things quite difficult.
For example, at the very least support for command-f would make updating pages and lengthy posts much easier.
I’m unsure if it makes sense to tackle all of these issues right now, what with the announcements made at WWDC last week. Hopefully some of this can be achieved “for free” as it were.
I understand that Micro.blog on the iPhone and the web are important but since the iPad can be a great laptop for people who aren’t necessarily interested in the advanced side of software and services, I think it would be great to make Micro.blog more accessible on this very machine.
