Typing an é doesn't work #5

While writing a post in Micro.blog for Mac I tried to type café by typing: c a f option-e e. The option-e yielded the expected accent, but the following e character did not combine with the accent to create an é character.

Thanks, the Markdown highlighting broke this for some reason. Something is amiss with how I'm managing the text storage, I think.

Copy/pasting é is probably the best work-around for now.

I confirmed that the method of entering a é by pressing and holding the e key until a popover menu of accent options appears is also a workaround.
