I'm very missing On-body detection feature for automatic unlock: https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/6093922 Is there any hope it will be tried to implement?

It would be awesome if at the very least Smart Lock settings were there. For example some Magisk modules do provide e.g. Trusted Face, but there's no way to set it up because the settings screen isn't there. Is there a way for microG to provide that bit?

Can we please give this feature a higher priority? I really need the "trusted devices" "smart unlock" settings urgently.

Why don't you contribute code if this feature is so important to you? It's typically not well received if you ask others to change their priorities for you...

The gentle way to do this is to just +1 the issue. The more aggressive way is to offer a bounty...

"Smart lock" feature for microG - request for support

Android's "smart lock" feature enables your phone to keep the display lock open under defined conditions - typically when connected with your local WiFi. This feature is implemented in google's "play services" and therefore not available to non-play-services phones.

To get this interesting feature into existence, please support the microG project at https://liberapay.com/microG/, https://github.com/sponsors/mar-v-in or ask via mail (microg (at) larma.de) to donate for microg.org - and mention the "smart lock" feature. I'd like to encourage everybody to support it with a few Euros or Dollars to make this work. MicroG always has been free, which I think is amazing, so spending a little money on extra goodies is the least we can do to support Marvin and his colleagues.

I happened to find "system profiles", which exactly do what I want.

Settings > system > system profiles: Create a new profile, set trigger WLAN etc.

Present in LOS19 - people say it was at least back since LOS15.

BUT: This feature has got a severe BUG. Please vote for this bug - maybe even we have a genius here who can fix it.

After years, I found the "profiles" feature in my LOS: Settings > System > System Profiles

This does exactly what I want. (Unluckily it's buggy in my Google Pixel 3a).
