Expected behavior
Running the CWA should work in a flawless manner on official "Googled" devices as well as on custom ROMs without notifying a system root if it is not the case.

This has nothing to do with microG but CWA detecting something in your rom that it doesn't like. See also here for some discussion around this: https://github.com/scottyab/rootbeer/issues/147
