Yes, Magisk grants you root (superuser).

However, if ROM does not support signature spoofing, LSPosed (Magisk module) and FakeGapps (an xposed/lsposed module) are required.

@Gamer750 If you mean unlocking bootloader, then yes; but root (adb root or su) isn't strictly required.

I'd like to try microG on my Sony Xperia Ion with the factory Android version, currently attempting to install the APKs fails because the original services are still there so what should I use to remove them? Any idea of app that I should install? Clearly third party, I don't think one is on Play Store to force-uninstall preinstalled apps. If so, probably they're invisible for my phone because they're incompatible.
