Same thing happened to me, @lollar1337.

Depending on the watch that you have, the first versions of wearable apps usually have all the code inside. You can find the in apkmirror. You'll have to install both old versions for the plugin and the wearable app.

E.g: For galaxy watch 4:

Plugin: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/galaxy-watch4-plugin/galaxy-watch4-plugin-2-2-11-21080651-release/

Find a wearable app within the same time it was release.

I have tried this solution for my Watch 6 Classic, downloaded Wearables 2.2.57.23092861, released July 31, 2023 and the Watch6 Plugin 2.2.13.23072051 which was released July 30, 2023 -> The watch was released July 26th, 2023.

Unfortunately I get a popup saying Im required to update the app which would download the latest version.

I would deeply love for this to get support.

"WearOS" which is the proprietary Google OS for smartwatches is not supported by microG.

However I guess Samsung is using Tizen for that - I have no personal experience with Samsung smartwatches on microG, by default I'd assume they do not work as I have never heard from a microG user that uses them.

Personally I use a Pebble smartwatch with microG. There are also some other projects that work to link smartwatches to devices without Gapps, the most popular of which is "Gadgetbridge" which you can find on F-droid.

Tizen did work with microg. Had a 1st gen Galaxy watch and everything worked.

I just tried to connect the watch 7 and it wants to update the play services. Does this work for anybody? I really do not want to install the play services😕😕

I thought this project is well funded, why was never something invested for the wearable part?

EDIT: I get a connection now, but the configuration stops at about 50%. After a restart the phone is shown as connected in the wear OS app, but the watch is still in the initialization process.

Im in the same boat, The GW7 won't connect no matter what I try . I keep getting a message that I need to update the Google Play Services ( Watch 7 plugin and Google Maps)
