tinder no longer working #801

I installed the latest update to microg from froid 2.7.17455 (i didn't check if it was the "mapbox" version, i just took the default update from fdroid). After the update tinder 10.0.0.1 will no longer start (see attached log file) and the later tinder versions still fail because they are clearly desperate for some unknown Google location service! logcat_and_device_info.zip

Aurora Store for me. (Lineage OS 16 Android 9.0.0_r40 on a MotoG3 with Nanodroid patch and unofficial microg flashed)

@BunnyTheLifeguard: If you are using microG unofficial installer, have you installed the latest version recently released? (currently 1.0.34 beta)

Apparently I have 1.0.33 🤔 just downloaded the latest one. Edit: Didn't help either 😬

Same issue for me, it's crashing at start, I tried several versions. Edit: As a workaround, you can add a shortcut to the Tinder webapp to your homescreen and it works pretty well.

How did you do it? I tried it with WebApps and Firefox Klar, but it can't access my location 🤔

I am using brave browser, I don't think I had any issue...

I thought I would try the latest Fdroid "maps" version of microg (0.2.8.17785-maps) and amazingly this time after the update my old tinder (8.12.0) continues to work. I expect the newer versions still have issues but at least I am back where I started.

I tried this with the mapbox version and it still doesn't work on newer versions. I wonder, are they using a new api or what?
