When trying to upgrade our app from an older version (1.1.0.1) to 1.2.0.1 we get this error message:

Deployment failed. Errors: App ID : 26fb6f9e-04f2-47c1-863e-9725fcdc9784 Message : { A request to the Data Plane Admin Service failed with an internal server error. Http status code: InternalServerError Error: { "code": "Unknown", "message": "The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message: There was an error while trying to deserialize parameter http://www.microsoft.com/Dynamics/NAV/51:StartNavAppDataUpgradeResult. The InnerException message was 'Member 'ALStackTrace' was not found.'.
Please see InnerException for more details." } } - Job Id : 10f37cf4-30bd-4382-a359-

Did anyone get this error and has a suggestion what might go wrong?

Background information: There is a known bug in our upgrade codeunit raising an error when the update environment is not english. The installation works in an english environment. We can avoid this error by selecting "english" during installation. But then we get the above mentioned internal server error. Because no stack trace is available, we cannot determine if there is another error in our upgrade code or if this is a BC issue.

Which version of the AL compiler and Business Central are you using? Is this issue happening on a production tenant?

Hi,

I am using this version:

Version: 1.44.2 (user setup) Commit: ff915844119ce9485abfe8aa9076ec76b5300ddd Datum: 2020-04-16T16:36:23.138Z Electron: 7.1.11 Chrome: 78.0.3904.130 Node.js: 12.8.1 V8: 7.8.279.23-electron.0 Betriebssystem: Windows_NT x64 10.0.17134

the version of the AL extension is:

Name: AL Language ID: ms-dynamics-smb.al Beschreibung: AL development tools for Dynamics 365 Business Central Version: 5.0.288712 Herausgeber: Microsoft Link zum Visual Studio Marketplace: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=ms-dynamics-smb.al

We tried this in a sandbox version (I think in production environment deploy with VSCode is not possible, right?).

The BC installation is:

Version: DE Business Central 16.2 (Platform 16.0.13440.14506 + Application 16.2.13509.13619) Azure AD tenant: accd54d0-fa87-4633-974c-6e3fff0c368c, Environment: SandboxVAPSTest (Sandbox)

Best regards,

Lutz
