Tracking of Oracle database dependency #1615

Open felipe2050 opened 7 years ago

felipe2050 commented 7 years ago

We need track/collect Oracle database dependency data as it is now with SQL Server databases. Heterogeneous environments require this.

SergeyKanzhelev commented 7 years ago

Can you please specify the library you are using to access Oracle DB. Ideally with the links to nugget & specific version of framework you are running on.

@SergeyKanzhelev

is there any update to that topic? the main official Oracle nuget package is obviously

Oracle.ManagedDataAccess https://www.nuget.org/packages/Oracle.ManagedDataAccess/

brentos99 commented 5 years ago

I'm keen to see this implemented. Any chance there has been an update?

cijothomas commented 5 years ago

@brentos99 No updates on this yet.

brentos99 commented 5 years ago

I'd be happy to implement something like this myself. Would be good, if you could just include a NUGET package that registers with the DependencyCollector and interfaces directly with the MangedDataAccess Client.

any update?

cijothomas commented 2 years ago

No update. This is likely to come via OpenTelemetry in the future.
