ASE Not Showing Subscriptions #3487

Open ChrisAllisonMalta opened 4 years ago

ChrisAllisonMalta commented 4 years ago

Storage Explorer Version: 1.14.2 Build Number: 20200715.2 Platform/OS: macOS Architecture: x64

Bug Description

When signing into Azure, I get asked many times to re enter my Azure password as well as my Mac password for Microsoft Identity Service to access my keychain.

During this process I can see the subscriptions appear above the Apply button but after completing the dozen times I'm asked to submit my mac password (despite hitting always allow) they disappear.

I am able to see my CosmosDB account that is pinned in Quick Access.

I have a similar issue with Visual Studio Mac open here, please note there are also comments on that link visible to just MSFT

Same issue in v1.15.0

It works if I don't keep entering the password to access the keychain and just leave the dialog open

@ChrisAllisonMalta it sounds like your keychain might in some weird state which is causing issues. Can you try:

Let us know if either of those work.

ChrisAllisonMalta commented 4 years ago

Thanks @MRayermannMSFT it worked but its not stable, the logged in status had disappeared overnight (not sure when but when I tried to use it this morning it was logged out) and while that trick worked, I'm asked to enter the password to login to the keychain and then that unlocks it. Also if I'm logged in in ASE and then try and look at my Azure subs in Visual Studio that kicks me out from ASE too

@ChrisAllisonMalta hmmmm that's weird. VS for Mac must be messing with the keychain in a way that kicks us out, as you say. Unfortunately I don't have any other workarounds for you at this time. We'll try to look into this.
