chore: upgrade electron to v26 #2439

A major upgrade to the latest available electron version.

The changes are following:

refactored remote usage to reflect electron changes
upgraded restify to be compatible with newer node versions
request handlers were updated according to restify release notes
removed electron-devtools-installer as it's not compatible anymore
minor tweaks to reduce deprecation warnings
