Seems like I should have gotten a notification of a failed build, but I didn't. I checked my GitHub settings, and it looks like I am subscribed for all alerts to go to email for this project.
Do you know if I should have gotten an alert to the spelling error failing build?

Looks like it should be fine. You just need to fix the spell check issue so the build pipeline passes.

I don't believe you do unless you kick off the build manually.
