I didn't register for the Microsoft Open Source, so will my contribution be valid?
If you make a contribution to a Microsoft repository on GitHub and you are not a registered contributor, your contribution will not be accepted. Microsoft requires that all contributors to its repositories register through the Microsoft Contributor License Agreement (CLA) process in order to ensure that the company has the necessary legal permissions to use the contributions.
To contribute to a Microsoft repository, you'll need to first sign the Microsoft CLA. You can do this by following the instructions on the Microsoft Open Source page: https://opensource.microsoft.com/cla/. Once you have signed the CLA, you'll be able to submit contributions to Microsoft repositories on GitHub.
It's important to note that the Microsoft CLA process is separate from the GitHub user account registration process. Even if you have a GitHub account, you'll still need to sign the Microsoft CLA in order to contribute to Microsoft repositories.
