Provide a description of the new feature / enhancement

I've used OS X and several distributions of Linux, I found the great convenience that the Launchpad and some essential information showed on the top of the screen gives the users. I know the win button can do almost the same thing but the full screen experience is so much more user friendly so I wonder whether you can make it also possible on windows.

So you can do the following thing:

  1. Rightclick on the taskbar
  2. Open taskbar settings
  3. Switch to section start image
  4. Activate "use start menu in fullscreen" (Or something like that)

Then you can use the start menu in fullscreen mode.

Please let me know if this is the feature that you wanted.

Well, it’s pretty similar to the feature that I mentioned, apart from one pretty annoying thing ,every time I have to use ‘shift+tab’ to switch to the menu of applications, so I wonder whether it is possible that we can have something more simplistic and with larger icon. Thank you for replying! That’s the first time I type anything on GitHub. I haven’t expected that I would get such an helpful email so soon.

I will reopen the issue, because now I understand more what you want.

We try to help the users as best as we can, so I'm happy you had a good experience!

Right now, I really want to understand more on the power user aspect here. I'm leaning toward this may be a better spot for feedback hub.
