Microsoft PowerToys version

0.37.2

Running as admin

Area(s) with issue?

General

Steps to reproduce

  1. Setup PowerToys
  2. Setup FancyZones
  3. Setup Alt-Gr as KB13
  4. Do something else and use your keyboard.

✔️ Expected Behavior

Keyboard working as expected.

In Valorant: I press W, my character takes a step forward. I hold W for 2 seconds, my character walks forward for 2 seconds.

❌ Actual Behavior

Keys take too long before registering and sometimes stick.

In Valorant: I press W, nothing happens. My character takes a step forward 6 seconds later. I hold W for 2 seconds, nothing happens. My character walks forward for 14 seconds by itself.

Other Software

The bug happens everywhere. In Discord, my push to talk(Alt Gr bound to KB13) gets stuck until I press it again. In Valorant, I can't move properly. In any other text software, my typing is delayed.

Setup Alt-Gr as KB13

What do you mean by it? Have you added key remappings to the Keyboard Manager?

mykhailopylyp commented 3 years ago

@NoThrottle Right-click on the PowerToys icon in the tray menu and select Report Bug image Drag and drop report into a GitHub comment.

Hi! I will provide the bug report in another comment.

The only thing i remapped was my Alt-Gr key to VK216. Nothing more. The issue persists everywhere until I end powertoys (usually through task manager).

edit: It wasn't KB13. VK keys are for my drawing tablet

Don't see anything weird in logs

mykhailopylyp commented 3 years ago

@NoThrottle Is the issue solved if you delete Setup Alt-Gr as KB13?

Disable the Keyboard Manager module in the settings and verify if the issue still persists.

Apologies for the late reply. As far as what I have experienced, no, the issue no longer persists when I turn off the Keyboard Manager.
