PowerToys Run keyboard shortcut invocation fails #12214

Steps to reproduce

Pressed alt+space to invoke PowerToys Run, after PowerToys had started on boot, without me having interacted with it in any capacity.

✔️ Expected Behavior

The PowerToys Run search bar appears.

❌ Actual Behavior

The PowerToys Run search bar doesn't appear. Two error dialogues appear. PowerToysReport_2021-07-04-17-32-44.zip

After closing the error dialogues, the keyboard shortcut alt+space results in no visible behaviour.

@mifieldxu Just few clarifications. Have you ever seen PowerToys Run's search box after pressing Alt+Space?

If you restart PowerToys manually, can you use PowerToys Run?

Go to PowerToys Run settings page and try to disable/enable it and verify if it works. image

Note: Even though we have crash exception here. It's not clear why the user wasn't able to see PT Run's search box(in logs we can see that it was invoked successfully).

Just few clarifications.

Have you ever seen PowerToys Run's search box after pressing Alt+Space?

Yes! Everything had been working as expected prior to this incident.

If you restart PowerToys manually, can you use PowerToys Run?

Yes. PowerToys didn't actually quit despite the errors, so I ended it via the tray menu (and not forcefully), and restarted it. PowerToys Run worked as expected afterwards, showing up after alt+space.

@mifieldxu Thank you for following up! As I understand it happens on windows startup. Is it correct? How often can you reproduce it?

Poking at this. @mifieldxu has this error occurred again on subsequent startups? I haven't been able to repro this on my machine.
