Description of the new feature / enhancement

System wide column selection, the there is in word notepad ++ etc. Hold alt to select text in a column.

Scenario when this would be used?

Everywhere in the system where there is text that can be selected.

Supporting information

Programs that i know that got this feature is Microsoft word and notepad++.

Note: System-wide multi cursors function in vscode.
