Maybe it would be possible to have mouse gestures with the middle mouse button.
is it you want to do a gesture or just have a mouse map key? /needinfo
I mean that I want to do a gesture, not just a mouse map key.
For example, to switch among virtual desktops when using a mouse, I should move the mouse to the button on the taskbar, click it and then switch. If I can do some mouse gestures, it will be much more convenient.
I understand the ask, happy to keep it open, but I think we'd prioritize work like macro enablement above this. A pure mouse solution would mimic dragging and could cause issues and if you interact with a keyboard, at that point, this is a simple win+ctrl+arrow key away

As far as I know, most mice only have three basic keys, and the ones which have other keys should have special softwares to record and use macros. What do you mean by this statement?

To press them, it would cost two hands. But using the mouse would only cost one hand. I think many people would prefer doing a thing with only one hand to doing it with both hands.

3-finger swipe to the right and left will switch Virtual Desktops by default.

I know that, but what if I use a desktop computer?
Hi @unuing. Have you tried https://www.strokesplus.net/ ?

Thanks, @xan2622! That is a nice application, but it's too redundant for me. I only want a few mouse gestures with a few functions, as much as the functions of the touchpad guestures in the system settings is enough. And I think using the mouse gestures should be like using the touchpad gestures (the cursor shouldn't move).
There’s quite a number of requests on adding hold-and-drag mouse gestures, not just #24147

Probably related to #20087: Have the ability to drag to scroll with a mouse.
Description of the new feature / enhancement
On Windows11, the touchpad gestures are very convenient, but using the mouse isn't so convenient. I'd like to customize some mouse gestures to do things such as switching among virtual desktops.
Scenario when this would be used?
When using a desktop computer or using an external mouse on a laptop.
