Space bar (almost) stops working in Pidgin with Quick Accent enabled #20413

Steps to reproduce

Once Quick Accent is enabled, typing into a chat window in Pidgin 2.12.0 I have to literally WHACK the space bar to add spaces. Other apps (Notepad++ 8.3.1) show similar behavior, though not to the same extent as Pidgin. Uninstalled Logitech Options and uninstalled the keyboard from Device Manager and rebooted but issue remained. Attached the same Logitech MX Keys wireless keyboard to two other Windows 10 computers and it did not have any issues. The issue went away completely once I turned Quick Accent off.

To not have to stop and PRESS DOWN on the keyboard

Surprised this was my issue in Pidgin also. Disabling Quick Accent fixed up spacebar input immediately.

Yes, I'm still experiencing this issue. I stopped using Quick Accent in 2022 and haven't tried it again until today. Still have to whack the keyboard in Pidgin when Quick Accent is enabled.
