Bilingual users or those who use more than two languages often fail to type using the right language. Because they have to check the current language every time before the typing by looking at the bottom right corner where usually the language/layout indicator is.
I suggest providing the convenient way to know the current language by using color/shape (other in-place indicator) of the text cursor. This should significantly improve the typing experience for such bilingual users.
There is already an implementation called Aml Maple (http://www.amlpages.com/amlmaple.shtml), but I struggle every time trying to use it as there are different issues arise.
Scenario when this would be used?
I start typing the right language/layout right away without losing the context.
