Yeah I do alot of art, and this is a blocker. Very annoying to wait for a folder with 20 items to load for 20 seconds.
Can confirm, that's a huge waste of time to waiting for svg's preview loading ~1 second per icon, it need a big optimization to being worth to use.
I've disabled the PowerToys' "Come-back-tomorrow" SVG thumbnail preview and installed the SVG Explorer Extension app mentioned in the OP. It loaded 45 SVGs in 3.4s compared with PowerToys' 32s for 11 SVGs (I couldn't be bothered waiting for all 45...) linearly extrapolated, that's 130s for 45!!! The Power Toys version is completely unusable

made the .svg previews basically instant for me. Windows 11
dropping by to say the same. it's painstakingly slow. like really slow. thank you guys for the alternatives.
Description of the new feature / enhancement
This is not a new feature request, but a request to improve the already available svg explorer preview. It is exremely slow in rendering a folder with a lot of svg files... In the past (and still available) i used a freely available extension which did the same job at blazing speed, as it should be.
Scenario when this would be used?
This explorer extension aims to fill the gap of windows OS not being able to preview a standard format as svg is
