Microsoft PowerToys version

0.70.1

Installation method

WinGet

Running as admin

No

Area(s) with issue?

Mouse Without Borders

Steps to reproduce

  1. Set up MWB with a desktop PC and a laptop
  2. Try using trackpad gestures from the laptop in the PC environment
  3. You'll see how the gesture is played on the laptop and not the PC

✔️ Expected Behavior

When using MWB from a laptop, trackpad gestures should work on any PC. Otherwise, it's quite awkward to do basic tasks like scrolling through a page.

❌ Actual Behavior

Gestures only get played on laptops instead of the targeted desktop.

Other Software

No response

Update: when focusing son something scrollable (like Chrome, VSCode or similar) on the laptop, the gesture of "scrolling" happens on the laptop. But, when focusing anything else, the gesture happens on the PC.

I am able to scroll vertically and zoom in/out using trackpad gestures, but sideways scrolling still doesn't work. Same for side scrolling with a mouse (using the left/right nudge on scroll wheel) If this can implemented, I will be very happy!

Remote control apps like AnyDesk seem to support all of these gestures so they feel perfectly native. Can MWB use the same system?

also having that in the exact same scenario, can't scroll from laptop trackpad when the mouse is on the other pc

I was having the same issue. Having a maximized window on the laptop made scrolling with the touchpad work on the other machine. I messed with the setting and found out that activating the MWB service within PowerToys settings fixed the issue.
