Could this be an issue with the new Explorer UI?

I experience the issue with the new Explorer UI enabled (the PC is new, so I do not know whether this is actually the cause.

It could be, i didn't have the problem on Win10. Until proven otherwise we should probably consider this issue as Win11 only.

There is a workaround. I find the preview of Explorer will work when the pdf preview in PowerToys is disabled. image

Of course, it will work for PDFs when there is another preview handler like Adobe and you disable the PowerToys pdf Handler

Same issue, none of the previews work in my office PC:

In one of the other issues on this a workaround (for some) was posted: This behaviour only happen if Power Toys are installed for an individual user. If it is installed on the system level, the preview gets shown (this solved it for me). Obviously not something everyone is allowed to do.

Hello now I have found a workaround for the problem, at least for my 2 screen setup. The scaling of my Win10 notebook display is set to 125%, the scaling of the connected monitor is 100%. In this setup the error occurs. If I set the scaling on both monitors to the same value, the preview works perfectly.
