In many tiling setups (read windows managers on Linux), there are no shadows drawn on the windows when they are tiled alongside each other. It looks cleaner since shadows don't overlap with zone gaps or the content in inactive windows.
Since DWM in Windows 11 draws shadows on windows by default, the proposal is to add an opt-in toggle in FancyZones settings to disable shadows on windows in zones.
Scenario when this would be used?
Purely aesthetics.
